The name of God does not appear in this book - unique in the Bible.  There is nothing miraculous in this book; it is rather matter of fact.  But nowhere in the Bible do we see more clearly the providence of God.

Esther 1 A Wife's Submission - The failure of Vashti to obey the king results in her removal as queen. Lesson explores the relationship of submission, wife to husband.
Esther 2 Providence -  The concepts of watchfulness, modesty and the providence of God.
Esther 3 Persecution -  Haman, finding that Mordecai does not bow down to him, determines to eradicate the Jews.
Esther 4:1 - 5:8 Grief and Courage -  Mordecai reminds Esther of her duty to her people; she courageously goes into the king, and invites him and Haman to a banquet.
Esther 5:9 - 6:14 Peacocks, Providence and Presumption -  The king has insomnia, and thereby discovers he owes Mordecai some honor - which it falls to Haman to deliver.
Esther 7, 8 Scene in Power - The scene in the courtyard as Esther reveals Haman's plot to eradicate the Jews.
Esther 9, 10 Justice - An essay on justice being a passion for the Christian.
